On Friday evening, Derek Groomer visited Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Ind.) for the Rod and Roddy Harris Memorial. Drawing a stout field of 31 cars, Groomer’s seventh-place finish in his heat race relegated him into the B-Main for another shot at the $4,000-to-win A-Main. With Saturday’s event at Paragon Speedway (Paragon, Ind.) rained out, Groomer headed to Circle City Raceway (Indianapolis, Ind.) on Sunday. After starting the night off with a heat race win, Derek dropped one spot in the feature to register a third-place finish. He trailed Derek Losh and John Demoss to the checkers.
