Groomer runs into more bad luck with Northern Allstars at Florence Speedway
Derek Groomer found himself back in action at Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) on Saturday afternoon for a $5,000-to-win Northern Allstars Late Model show.
Putting down the sixth-quickest lap in his qualifying group, Groomer stormed from third-to-first in his heat race to set him up on the second-row for the A-Main. Derek ran inside the Top-5 until debris from another car caused a mechanical failure. Groomer was scored 22nd.
