Derek Groomer tabs two-win weekend, nets $1,200

After starting the night off with a heat race victory, Groomer outran Jordan Wever in the feature to claim his third win of the season and a $600 prize. He finished ahead of Wever, Brayden Watson, Jacoby Hines, and Brent Lee.

On Sunday at Rock Crest Raceway (Mount Vernon, Ind.), Derek edged his way into the main event with a third-place finish in his heat. Charging from the fifth-starting spot, Groomer raced to his second win in as many nights and fourth of the 2022 season.

His win elevated his weekend winnings to $1,200.
