Groomer coast to Super Stock sweep at Bloomington Speedway

Derek Groomer got an early start to his Labor Day weekend with a visit to Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Ind.) on Friday afternoon to pilot his Millikan Smiles No. D48 Super Stock.

Pulling off a clean sweep of the program, Groomer followed up the fast time honors and a heat race win with a flag-to-flag victory in the 20-lap feature. He scored his 10th win of the 2023 season ahead of Zach Sasser and Tucker Chastain.

In the Pro Late Model ranks on Saturday at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) for the track’s Fan Appreciation Night, Derek raced into the main event with a runner-up showing in his heat. With $1,000 on the line, Groomer posted a seventh-place finish.
