Derek Groomer joins Lucas Oil for North/South 100 at Florence Speedway

Making a rare start with the national tour, Derek Groomer joined a 51-car field checked in with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) for the 43rd-annual Sunoco North/South 100.

Groomer finished 14th and 18th in preliminary features on Thursday and Friday, but dealt with mechanical issues on the final night which prevented him from starting his heat race.
