Groomer runs into bad luck at Montpelier Motor Speedway

Making the trip to Montpelier (Ind.) Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon for a $2,000-to-win DIRTcar Late Model special, Derek Groomer joined a field of 23 drivers and started on the front-row of the main event.

After picking up a heat race win, Groomer started second but quickly fell back and eventually recorded a DNF.
