Derek Groomer opens 2026 season with Spring 50 at Florence Speedway

Derek Groomer once again opened up his 2026 race season at Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) on Saturday afternoon for the Spring 50.

Finishing third in his heat race, Groomer started ninth in the $10,000-to-win main event and ran 17th when the checkers flew.
